Staggering School Start Times Could Save Big Bucks

There could be substantial savings through transportaiton costs if Muncie Community Schools stagger school start times. Officials say by doing that, buses could pick up kids for one school after dropping off students whose schools start earlier, elminating the need for the two buses it would require if those schools start at the same time. The superintendent says it could cut transportation costs in about half and save around $1.5 million.
