An Indiana State Police trooper and an 82-year-old driver went to the hospital Thursday morning after their cars collided in New Castle. It happened on State Road 3 at Trojan Lane when the driver turned in front of the police car. Trooper Jarrin Franklin was treated for knee pain. Harold Devine Jr. was taken to the hospital after suffering a broken shoulder.
