It wasn’t about an investigation. That’s what Mayor Dennis Tyler is telling the Star Press about his split with former Police Chief Steve Stewart. Stewart resigned on October 31st, a short time after he stepped down as chair of the local Democratic Party. Tyler says Stewart’s resignation came after he failed to get back a computer of a fired city worker to “to prepare for possible grievances and potential arbitration.” Stewart chose not to reply to Tyler’s statement.
