If you’re heading south for the holidays, we have some good news for your travels. The new East End Crossing will open to traffic on Sunday, Dec. 18. Eight-and-a-half new miles of road will connect Utica, Ind. just east of Jeffersonville to the eastern edge of suburban Louisville. The centerpiece is a 2,500-foot cable-stay bridge spanning the Ohio River.
