Drugs Responsible For Spike In Child Abuse/Neglect

Madison County, like many other parts of EC Indiana, is seeing a spike in child abuse and neglect cases. Amanda Craycraft, director of the Madison County CASA program says drugs are behind the increase.  Madison County ranks fifth in the state in child abuse and neglect cases. Madison Circuit Court 4 Judge George Pancol, who oversees child-related cases of abuse and neglect, estimated 90 percent of the cases are drug-related.
