A young Muncie man is dead after his car hits a utility pole and sinks in a retention pond. Divers and emergency responders retrieved the car and the body of 20-year-old Darrion Lamonte Johnson from the pond near Delaware County Road 500-W, south of Ind. 332. The cause of Johnson’s death is not immediately known. An autopsy will be performed later today.
