Pain from drug withdrawal eased with brain-stimulation device

An Indiana company is taking an old idea and making it work for drug addicts to help them get through withdrawl. It’s a device that stimulates the brain during withdrawl to remove the pain. The Neuro-Stim Bridge is being used by the Union County Opiate Treatment Center and they report all 37 patients have successfully used it. The device fits behind the ear for five days with electrodes attached to the head at the ear. The company believes this will change the face of detox.
