A Muncie man preparing for his murder trial in Indianapolis was back in Delaware County yesterday in another case, this time for drug possession. 27-year-old Martize Kirkland took a plea deal with sentencing is set for January 14th. His trial in Marion County is set to begin this month for the death of 23-year-old Jeremy Johnson of Muncie. Police say Kirkland lured the victim to an abandoned house in Indy and killed him over drugs.
