Two In Exploitation Probe Have Trials Pushed Back

Federal court judges have rescheduled trials for two East Central Indiana men charged in connection with a child exploitation probe. 55-year-old Muncie resident, Darrell Hughes, was indicted on three counts of sexual exploitation of minor boys, while acting as a behavioral specialist at a New Castle alternative school. His trial has been rescheduled for Sept. 15. The grand jury also indicted 58-year-old Michael Fleming of New Castle, former director of the New Castle office of the Indiana Department of Child Services, and until recently a member of the New Castle Community School Board. Fleming’s trial was set for June 30, but has been rescheduled for Oct. 20.
