ELSA LLC, the Elwood company that manufactures automotive parts, is being investigated by OSHA after failing to file a report with the state for an accident that occurred more than two months ago when a 70-year-old employee suffered serious injuries in a fork lift accident. The investigation is to determine if there were any safety violations when the accident occurred. In 2005, ELSA was cited with 19 workplace violations and fined more than 6-thousand dollars after an amputation at the plant.
