Lunch time was cut short for Muncie firefighters yesterday when the report of a house fire came in shortly after 12 noon. When fire crews arrived in the 2000 block of South Walnut Street, they found smoke coming from the home and the family safely outside. No word on injuries, although a 4-year-old boy was seen in an ambulance – alert on talking to EMS. The cause of the blaze has not been released.
