Marsh Supermarkets is closing one of its local MainStreet Market grocery stores on Muncie’s northeast side. The MainStreet Market at 1301 E. McGalliard Road will close by the end of November. The property has been sold to a new operator who has not renewed the lease to Marsh Supermarkets. The company says they will try to find positions for the store’s 49 employees at other local Marsh and MainStreet Market locations.

They say he committed three robberies at two Muncie convenience stores within 24 hours. 40-year-old Chad Edward Duke, of Rushville, was tracked to a Greenfield motel when he was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery. Funeral services will take place this week for two Indianapolis police officers at the center of a murder-suicide investigation.
