An Elwood man faces felony murder and other charges in connection with the disappearance of his aunt in 2011. 49-year-old Donald Burns also faces forgery, theft and receiving stolen property charges related to the death of 74-year-old Dorothy Heard of Noblesville. The woman’s remains were found in February 2012 near Marion. Burns is currently imprisoned on a child molestation conviction. His parole was revoked on a resisting law enforcement charge following his aunt’s disappearance.

The City of Indianapolis will not be hosting the Democratic or Republican National Conventions in 2016. Marc Lotter, spokesman for Mayor Greg Ballard says the city won‘t be submitting bids for either convention. Lotter says the city is already committed to hosting the NCAA Men‘s Final Four and NCAA Women‘s Olympics Trials among other events.
