An Albany resident has pled guilty to unemployment insurance fraud. Investigators from the Department of Workforce Development say 27-year-old Tyler Cox received unemployment benefits while working a full-time job. He was sentenced to one and one-half years on probation and ordered to repay more than 13-thousand dollars he collected.

Tom Jarvis has been named principal of Central High School in 2014-15, the first year under a consolidated high school that will include former Southside High School students. Jarvis is currently the principal of Central High School. The Muncie Community School Board unanimously approved the recommendation, which was made during Tuesday’s regular board meeting.11.12.13

The Muncie Community School Board has approved Chuck Reynolds, currently principal at Wilson Middle School, and Gerry Moore, currently associate principal at Southside High School, as associate principals, where they’ll join Tom Jarvis as principal of the consolidated Central High School. Wilson will be closed next year and Southside will become a middle school.
