Vectren Gas is warning its customers to be on the lookout. A scam has resurfaced that involves an unsolicited phone call from someone claiming to be a representative for the utility company and warning that they will disconnect your service if you don’t make an immediate payment by purchasing a prepaid debit card. Vectren says they NEVER require a customer to purchase a prepaid debit or credit card in order to make a payment of any type.
