A Muncie man who inadvertently sent a text message offering to sell drugs to a police officer’s cell phone has been sentenced to seven years in prison. 24-year-old Mickey Reese Joyce Jr had pleaded guilty to dealing in a controlled substance and was sentenced a 10-year sentence with three years suspended. Joyce sent his misdirected text message last July 7, when he sold 38 tablets of a prescription painkiller to an undercover police officer.
