A statewide “all aboard” call is going out to save Amtrak service from Chicago to Indianapolis. Indiana must decide by October 1st whether to contribute 3-million dollars annually for the Hoosier State line or service will come to a stop. Congress has eliminated funding for lines like it in 19 states that are shorter than 750 miles.

The coldest air in almost 3 years rolled through the state Wednesday night. Indiana is in a deepfreeze today as wind chills are in the negatives. The next weather problem is snow. We could see accumulating snows Friday night through Saturday.12.12.13
